Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his desire to sign peace agreements with more Arab countries following the cessation of attacks on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, stating, “I aim to achieve peace with more Arab countries.” In a speech in parliament, Netanyahu said he wanted to sign peace agreements with more Arab countries. He stated, “The day after Hamas does not control Gaza and Hezbollah does not exist on our northern border, we are working on plans to stabilize these two fronts. However, there is something else very important the next day. I aim to continue the process I led a few years ago for the historic Abraham Accords and achieve peace with more Arab countries. These countries and others clearly see the blows we have dealt to those who attack us, to Iran’s axis of evil. They, like us, desire a stable, secure, and prosperous Middle East.” Israel normalized relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan as part of the Abraham Accords signed in 2020 with the mediation of the United States. While Israel, with the support of the U.S., is trying to sign the agreement with other countries, especially Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia has stated that it will not recognize Israel until a Palestinian state is established.
