As Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip continue for 296 days, Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniyeh made a call for mass protests. Haniyeh urged all countries around the world, particularly Arab and Islamic nations, to take to the streets on August 3rd in support of the Palestinian people. Haniyeh stated, “Let August 3rd be a national and international day of support for Gaza and the prisoners, and let continuous actions continue until the genocidal war against our prisoners and the Palestinian people comes to an end.”
Haniyeh expressed, “We are looking forward to August 3rd being a determined day of action throughout Palestine, in refugee camps, in the diaspora, in the Arab and Islamic world, and among all free people of the world to support our people in the Gaza Strip and our prisoners in the occupied jails.”
