Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat met with Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani, who hosted the G7 Countries Trade Ministers Meeting. Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat continues his contacts in Italy. Bolat met with Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani in the city of Villa San Giovanni, where the G7 Countries Trade Ministers Meeting was hosted. Minister Bolat, after the meeting, stated on his social media account, ‘We expressed our mutual expectation of increasing our trade volume to $30 billion this year with Tajani, to whom we thanked for the kind invitation to the G7. We agreed with Mr. Tajani to hold the Joint Economic and Trade Commission (JETCO) meeting in Istanbul in the shortest time possible with the comprehensive participation of representatives of the business communities of the two countries.’ Bolat emphasized that Turkey has a deep-rooted cooperation with Italy and underlined the importance of further strengthening commercial relations between the two countries.
