Kremlin: ‘We will never interfere in the internal political processes in the USA’

Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated, ‘We have never intervened and will never intervene in the internal political processes in the United States.’ Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov made statements to the local press regarding the impact of the assassination attempt on Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump in the U.S. Peskov emphasized that Russia has never intervened and has no intention of intervening in the internal political processes in the United States, adding, ‘Like the rest of the world, we closely follow what is happening there. Because it is the world’s largest economy and the most powerful military country that spends more money on the Ministry of Defense than all other countries combined.’ Peskov also mentioned that in a country like this, the prevalence of violence during an election campaign is a matter of concern for Russia and the whole world.’ Donald Trump was attacked on July 13th at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump was injured in his right ear, one person died, and two others were injured in the attack. The attacker, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed by the Secret Service at the scene.
