Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz addressed the increasing tension between Israel and Hezbollah, stating, “Israel is not interested in an all-out war.”

Following the rising tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz sent a letter to his counterparts. Katz emphasized that Israel does not seek war with Hezbollah, saying, “Israel is not interested in an all-out war, but the only way to prevent this is the immediate implementation of UN Resolution 1701.”

Katz added, “The world should currently support Israel and demand that Hezbollah immediately cease its attacks, withdraw to the north of the Litani River, and disarm in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701. Tens of thousands of Israelis who have had to leave their homes in the north of Israel should be able to return home safely.”

Israel struck Beirut yesterday

Israel conducted an airstrike on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, yesterday. The attack reportedly targeted Fuad Shukr, a senior advisor to Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah. Four people were killed, and 83 others were injured in the strike. Hezbollah sources claimed that Fuad Shukr was trapped under the rubble, but it was unclear whether Shukr had died.
