The US Department of Commerce has imposed export restrictions on 37 Chinese entities on the grounds that they engage in activities that could harm national security.

These 37 Chinese entities have been placed on the commercial restriction list, citing that they have acted contrary to the national security or foreign policy interests of the US. The purpose of the decision is to prevent these entities from supporting China’s military modernization and to tighten measures against China by halting the flow of technology.

Exporting to these entities by US suppliers will become more difficult, aiming to restrict technology transfer to China.
