Azerbaijan and Turkey have signed an agreement to extend the supply of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Turkey until the end of 2030. Azerbaijan and Turkey have decided to extend the supply of natural gas from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz 1 field to Turkey. In a statement on his social media account, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar mentioned that an agreement has been signed to extend the natural gas supply agreement, set to expire at the end of this year, between BOTAŞ and Azerbaijan Gas Supply Company (AGSC) until the end of 2030. Bayraktar stated that they have taken new steps to establish the infrastructure of the Natural Gas Cooperation Agreement signed in Istanbul on May 14 by Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov, mentioning that with the four agreements signed between BOTAŞ and SOCAR, Azerbaijani gas will be transported to Europe and Nakhchivan through Turkey, and Turkmen gas will be delivered to our country. He concluded his statement by expressing his wishes for the agreements to be beneficial for the two brotherly countries.
