Playing to full houses, ‘Trees Die Standing’ was staged in Cyprus for the first time. Master actress Nevra Serezli, who crossed to Northern Cyprus by ferry due to her fear of flying, met with art enthusiasts in Cyprus. The play ‘Trees Die Standing,’ staged on March 18 at the Gazimağusa Rauf Denktaş Cultural Center, on March 19 at Girne American University, and on March 20 at Near East University in Nicosia, received full marks from the Cypriot audience. The ‘Trees Die Standing’ team, playing to full houses in Cyprus, received great interest from Cypriot theater enthusiasts.
Nevra Serezli, who went to Cyprus by ferry, expressed her feelings on the last day of the play, saying, “Today is our last day in Cyprus. I am very sad. I wish I could fly so that we could come here every month and perform the play. Right now, we are performing our play in Nicosia. The hall is filled with wonderful people; they welcome everything with joy, laughing, and having fun. We are also performing with great joy. It was a wonderful tour. I love Cyprus very much. See you again.” Directed by master director and actor Nedim Saban, the cast of ‘Trees Die Standing’ includes Nevra Serezli, Aziz Sarvan, Meral Asiltürk, Önder Atakanlı, Emre Ozan, Meltem Özlevent, and Beyza Vural.”
