President Tatar visits the region President Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Turkey’s Ambassador to Nicosia Metin Feyzioğlu, Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Hüseyin Çavuş, and other officials visited the fire site and observed the firefighting efforts on site. Furthermore, a fire that broke out in Mersinlik on June 21, 2022, could not be brought under control for days despite all efforts, and it was finally extinguished on the evening of June 25, 2022, due to the rain that fell.
