Protests against ‘private universities’ continue in Greece

In the capital city of Athens, thousands of students took to the streets once again to protest against the new bill allowing the establishment of private universities by the government in Greece. Students reiterated concerns that the establishment of private universities would diminish the value of university degrees and held banners with the slogan “No to private universities,” chanting “You won’t be able to establish private universities, all universities will remain public.”
