North Korea Tested Updated Rocket Artillery Systems

Under the leadership of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, developments continue to strengthen the country’s ballistic missile and nuclear weapons program. Most recently, a firing exercise was conducted to test the latest version of 240 mm multiple rocket launcher systems.

During the test firing of these updated rocket artillery systems, it was reported that 8 predetermined targets were successfully hit, demonstrating the destructive power of the missiles. It was announced that these systems, which have high mobility and firing intensity, will be used as reserve equipment in the Korean People’s Army units, significantly increasing the country’s military capabilities.

  • The updated multiple rocket launchers will be used as reserve equipment in Korean People’s Army units until 2026.
