Netanyahu will not accept the new prisoner exchange agreement involving Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that he will not accept a new prisoner exchange agreement that includes the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip and the release of Palestinian prisoners. As negotiations between Israel and Palestine continue with mediation from the United States, Qatar, and Egypt, Netanyahu addressed reports in the media about a new prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and Palestine.
Speaking at the Bnei David Military Academy in one of the illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, Netanyahu emphasized Israel’s insistence on a “complete victory” and stated that Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip would continue until all objectives are achieved. Netanyahu emphasized that the Israeli army would not withdraw from the Gaza Strip, and thousands of Palestinian prisoners would not be released, declaring that he would not accept the mentioned agreement.
The parties had met in Paris On January 28, a meeting was held in Paris, the capital of France, for a new prisoner exchange agreement between Israel and Palestine, with the participation of Israel, the United States, Qatar, and Egypt. The statement from the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office described the meeting as constructive, stating, “There are still significant gaps that the parties will discuss in additional meetings this week.”
