The Presidency of Religious Affairs, selected as the best team in Saudi Arabia, provides Turkish pilgrims staying in hotels with 5 varieties of meals and 8 varieties of salads and desserts served twice a day. Within the Hajj organization, the Presidency of Religious Affairs, selected as the best team in Saudi Arabia, provides Turkish pilgrims staying in Mecca with 5 varieties of meals and 8 varieties of salads and desserts served twice a day. In all hotels, Turkish pilgrims are now served with 2 main optional meals and 8 varieties of salads and desserts meticulously prepared by 65 Turkish chefs of the Presidency. The newly rented kitchen near the Jamarat area ensures easy access to hotels where Turkish pilgrims are located during peak traffic times, while maintaining high hygiene standards with new generation kitchen equipment. Meals transported to hotels in special containers are sent with a special hot and cold chain that can preserve the food for up to 6 hours on the way. A total of 215 people, including 65 Turkish chefs and 150 local staff, serve in the kitchen where specially selected chefs from Turkey provide services. Breakfast is served at 05.00 in hotels, while dinner reaches the hotels between 16.00-17.00. In addition, lunch and dinner rations are also provided to the staff. The 65 Turkish chefs, working with great enthusiasm, stir the large pots with beads in their hands, saying ‘It is enough for us to receive the prayers of our pilgrims.’ Expressing that they work to serve the pilgrims in the best way possible, Ali Erbaş, the Head of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, stated, ‘We attach great importance to meal services especially in terms of hygiene. We offer our meals suitable for our culinary culture to our pilgrims. We bring our chefs from Turkey. We prepare meals for 30,000 people daily in this kitchen. We will continue these efforts until the end of the Hajj season.’
