While Israel continues its attacks on the Gaza Strip, sufficient aid still cannot reach the region. Jan Egeland, the Secretary-General of the Norwegian Refugee Council, shared images of the kilometers-long queue formed by hundreds of aid trucks waiting to enter the Gaza Strip.

“We have not been able to get 500 trucks across in a single day that we need”
Egeland stated that for the horrific humanitarian crisis to be resolved, Israel needs to allow aid trucks to enter the Gaza Strip, saying, “Hundreds of aid trucks are lined up at the Rafah and Kerem Shalom border crossings, waiting to cross into Gaza to deliver aid to civilians on the brink of starvation. We have not been able to get 500 trucks across in a single day that we need. The system is broken, and Israel can fix it for the good of the innocent.”
