The opening took place during the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Israel. Colonel Moshe Tetro, head of Israel’s Gaza Coordination and Liaison Administration, stated that the crossing would be open every day and expressed hope that it would help achieve the goal of reaching Gaza with 500 aid trucks daily.
