Joint Statement from Chinese and French Leaders: Call for Ceasefire in Gaza
Chinese and French leaders are calling for a ceasefire to end the conflicts in Gaza. A significant step towards peace and stability is taken with the joint statement of the two countries.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, during a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, stated, “We call for an immediate comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire in Gaza.”
Continuing his European tour in France, Xi Jinping drew attention to the situation in Gaza during his meeting with Macron. Xi used the words, “We call for a ceasefire in Gaza, the restoration of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian nation, and the establishment of a lasting peace in the Middle East.”
Xi Jinping emphasized that the conflict between Israel and Palestine is a test for humanity, highlighting the need for the international community to take action.
Furthermore, the Chinese President reiterated their stance on Ukraine, expressing their support for peace and stating their opposition to efforts to start a new Cold War.
Xi Jinping also announced that during his visit to France, 18 cooperation agreements were signed in the fields of agriculture, finance, aviation, nuclear energy, and culture.
