Support Demonstrations for Palestine Continue at US Universities
Support demonstrations for Palestine and the interventions of the police are escalating at universities in the US. Most recently, police intervened in the tent camp set up by students of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and detained 68 people.
Students’ Protest Against Israel
Students of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago set up a tent camp on campus to protest against Israel’s attacks on Palestine and to end the trade with Israeli companies. In the morning, the police intervened in the camp to disperse the students.

Following the altercation between the police and students, the police took action to disperse the camp and despite the warning to ‘disperse,’ they detained the students who resisted. The Chicago police announced that 68 people were detained on the grounds of entering the campus without permission.
