US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Israel for the seventh time since the attacks on Gaza began on October 7. Secretary Blinken met with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and visited the Kerem Shalom border crossing between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
Blinken and Gallant later held a meeting with Israeli Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi. Efforts to return Israeli hostages and Israel’s military operation in Gaza were discussed during the meeting.
