The Starship rocket, owned by the US space transportation company SpaceX, reached orbit for the first time on its third test flight, but communication was lost during re-entry into the atmosphere.
Starship, developed by the US space transportation company SpaceX and holding the title of the world’s largest and most powerful space rocket, was successfully launched from the Starbase area in Texas, USA, at 16:35 GMT for its third test flight. Approximately 3 minutes into the flight, the first stage booster, known as Super Heavy, successfully separated from the upper stage Starship. Starship successfully reached orbit for the first time.
In today’s flight, called Integrated Flight Test-3, Starship passed tests to open a cargo bay door that will be used to deploy Starlink satellites into orbit and restart an engine in space.

Communication was lost during Starship’s re-entry into the atmosphere
After the first stage booster, Super Heavy separated and crashed into the Gulf of Mexico, communication was lost with Starship, which was expected to land in the Indian Ocean, during re-entry into the atmosphere. SpaceX announced that they evaluated Starship’s entry into the atmosphere as an explosion.

The first 2 attempts ended in failure
In the second test flight in November last year, Starship exploded in the air about 2.5 minutes after launch, and in the first test flight in April, it exploded and crashed into the Gulf of Mexico about 4 minutes after launch due to a malfunction in the engines.
Starship is 30 meters wide and approximately 400 meters high. SpaceX designed the rocket with the goal of taking humans to Mars and the moon.
