During the Hajj season, Ali Erbaş, the President of Religious Affairs, mentioned the Turkish citizens being affected by Saudi Arabia's practices towards those who come to Mecca without a Hajj visa, stating 'We have never complained about any of our citizens in Mecca during the Hajj season.'
