Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated, “According to intelligence, Russia is expected to send the first North Korean soldiers to combat areas on October 27-28.”
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced on his social media account that he received information about the latest situation on the front line from the Chief of General Staff Oleksandr Syrskyi. Zelensky stated, “I received a report from Chief of General Staff Syrskyi regarding the current situation, particularly in the directions of Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Lyman. The situation in the Donetsk region is still difficult, but our combat brigades are holding their positions and doing everything possible to eliminate the occupiers.”
“Russia is expected to send the first North Korean soldiers to combat areas on October 27-28”
Addressing the Ukrainian army’s operation in Russia’s Kursk region, Zelensky said, “We are achieving our objectives in the Kursk operation. The buffer zone in Russian territory helps secure Ukraine against Russia’s attempts to expand the war in our eastern regions and inflicts significant losses on Russia. The Chief of General Staff provided detailed information about the tasks our troops are carrying out in designated areas in the Kursk region, as well as information regarding Russia’s use of North Korean soldiers. According to intelligence, Russia is expected to send the first North Korean soldiers to combat areas on October 27-28. This is clearly a step by Russia to escalate tensions, contrary to the misinformation circulating in Kazan in recent days.”
“North Korea’s actual involvement in the conflict must be met with concrete pressure”
Zelensky emphasized, “The world can clearly see Russia’s true intentions: to continue the war. That is why it is vital for world leaders to respond in a principled and strong manner. North Korea’s actual involvement in the conflict should not be met with indifference or ambiguous interpretations, but rather with concrete pressure on both Moscow and Pyongyang to comply with the UN Charter and be held accountable for this escalation.”
“North Korean soldiers have been sent to Russia”
The U.S. administration and South Korean Intelligence Service had announced that 3,000 North Korean soldiers had been sent to Russia. Yesterday, during a press conference following the BRICS Summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin, when asked about the satellite images shared regarding the transfer of North Korean soldiers to Russia, stated, “The photo is serious, it means it reflects something,” and did not deny the information regarding the transfer of North Korean soldiers to Russia.
