Usama Hamdan: Israel Must Stop the Prosperity Operation for a Ceasefire Agreement
Usame Hamdan supports the ceasefire agreement on the condition that Israel stops its welfare operation. Efforts continue to find a solution for the cessation of Israel’s attacks.
Hamas Political Bureau member Usama Hamdan drew attention to the ongoing ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas, warning that there would be no ceasefire agreement if Israel’s military operation in Rafah continues.
During a period when ceasefire negotiations are taking place in the Egyptian capital Cairo, Hamas Political Bureau member Usama Hamdan, in a statement in Beirut, warned that if Israel’s military operation in Rafah continues, the ceasefire agreement will not materialize, stating that ‘The military operation in Rafah will not be an easy process for the Israeli army.’
Hamdan emphasized that the ceasefire offer accepted by Hamas yesterday represents the minimum level corresponding to the demands of the Palestinian people and Hamas, stating, ‘The ball is in Netanyahu’s court.’
Referring to Israel’s takeover of the Rafah Border Crossing, Hamdan also mentioned, ‘The Rafah Border Crossing is entirely an Egypt-Palestine border crossing and will remain so.’
