Two bombs weighing 300 kilograms each, dating back to World War II, were found at Gryzliny airport in Poland. To neutralize the bombs, 500 residents in the area were evacuated, and train tracks and express roads were closed to traffic. Two unexploded bombs from the World War II era were discovered at Grzyliny airport near the city of Olsztyn in northern Poland, where small aircraft operate. Bomb disposal experts called to the scene determined that the total weight of the bombs was 300 kilograms and that if they were to detonate, they could affect an area of 1.5 kilometers in width. Consequently, 500 people in a village near the airport were evacuated. Police closed the train tracks near the airport and the S51 express road in both directions. Local authorities stated that it could take several hours to safely remove the bombs from their current location. It was learned that the bombs, once safely removed, would be destroyed by specialist teams at a military firing range.
