The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, has arrived in Brazil to attend the 10th G20 Speakers’ Summit (P20).
The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, has arrived in Brazil to participate in the 10th G20 Speakers’ Summit (P20) organized under the theme “A Fair World and a Sustainable Planet,” hosted by the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies.
Arthur Cesar Pereira De Lira, the President of the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies, and Rodrigo Pacheco, the President of the Brazilian Federal Senate, welcomed the heads of parliament attending the summit one by one. After the welcoming ceremony, the heads of parliament took a family photo. The P20 Summit then officially began in the General Assembly hall of the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies with speeches from Chamber President Lira and Federal Senate President Pacheco.
During the summit, sessions titled “The Contribution of Parliaments to the Fight Against Hunger, Poverty, and Inequality,” “The Role of Parliaments in Supporting Sustainable Development,” and “The Role of Parliaments in Establishing Global Governance Compatible with the Problems of the 21st Century” will be held.
