Minister Göktaş came to the capital Doha for the conference on “Family and Contemporary Megatrends,” hosted by Qatar, to mark the 30th anniversary of the declaration of “International Year of the Family” by the United Nations. She first met with the Qatari Minister of Social Development and Family, Maryam bint Ali bin Nasir al-Misned, and later spoke with the Egyptian Minister of Social Solidarity, Maya Morsy. During the meetings, which involved discussions on issues related to women, the disabled, children, the elderly, and families, a consensus was reached on increasing international cooperation between the ministries.
Göktaş’s Reaction to Israel
In the meeting, Minister Göktaş also expressed her reaction to Israel’s attacks. She stated the necessity of stopping Israel’s assaults as soon as possible and emphasized that the international community has responsibilities in this regard. Göktaş highlighted the importance of an urgent and ongoing ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian aid, noting that Turkey will continue to stand by its Palestinian brothers.
