Statement from Yahya Sinwar from Iran: “It will be a model for the youth and children”

In a statement from Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN), it was noted that the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar would strengthen the spirit of resistance, stating, “He will be a model for the youth and children who will advance the path to the liberation of Palestine.”

A reaction also came from Iran regarding the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar by the Israeli army. In the statement from Iran’s UN Permanent Mission, recalling the executed deposed leader of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, it was stated, “When US forces pulled a disheveled Saddam Hussein out of a hole in the ground, he begged them not to kill him despite being armed. Those who saw Saddam as a model of resistance ultimately fell.”

“As long as the occupation exists, resistance will continue.”

Despite this, the statement emphasized that Sinwar continued to resist until his last moment, saying, “When Muslims remember Martyr Sinwar on the battlefield, in combat attire, facing the enemy openly rather than hiding, the spirit of resistance will be strengthened.” The statement referred to Sinwar, saying, “He will be a model for the youth and children who will advance the path to the liberation of Palestine,” and added, “As long as occupation and aggression exist, resistance will continue. Because martyrs will continue to live and be a source of inspiration.”
