Slovenian Prime Minister Golob has initiated the process of officially recognizing the State of Palestine. This step is considered a significant development in international relations.
The Prime Minister of Slovenia, Robert Golob, announced that the Slovenian government has initiated the procedure to recognize the state of Palestine. Golob stated that this step aims to stop the violence in the Gaza Strip.
Golob’s Statements:
- Golob said, ‘The horrific events in Gaza are unacceptable. We expect Israel to stop its attacks on Gaza and come to the negotiation table.’
- Golob expressed hope that this decision, taken unanimously by the coalition government, will inspire other countries and emphasized that Slovenia’s recognition of Palestine will accelerate the negotiations.
Expectations of Other Countries:
Ireland, Spain, and some other European Union member countries are progressing towards recognizing the state of Palestine, and it is expected that they will take this step on May 21.
Recognition of the State of Palestine:
