Reaction from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs targeted the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, stating that ‘Preferring to fuel hatred and spread fake news in an unstable and tense environment is irresponsible and dangerous.’
Statement by the UN Secretary-General
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the statement made by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres regarding mass graves identified in the Gaza Strip. On April 30, Guterres expressed his concerns saying, ‘Reports of mass graves in Gaza deeply trouble me. Independent investigators must be granted immediate access. The families of the deceased have the right to know what happened. The world has the right to demand accountability for possible violations of international law that may have occurred.’
Lifeless Bodies in Mass Graves
310 bodies were recovered from the mass grave at Nasser Hospital in Gaza, while more than 380 bodies were retrieved from the mass grave at Shifa Hospital. We searched for the bodies of Israeli hostages, examined them, and returned them to their families. The modern-day blood libel you spread is completely fabricated and is an insult to the families of Israeli hostages who are suffering great pain while waiting for news of their loved ones.
