Russian President Vladimir Putin was officially welcomed in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.

Despite an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against him, Russian President Vladimir Putin is making an official visit to Mongolia. Putin arrived in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, on the evening of yesterday, where he was officially welcomed today by Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh. During the official welcoming ceremony held at Sukhbaatar Square in the center of Ulaanbaatar, after the national anthems of both countries were played, the Russian leader saluted the honor guard. Following that, the delegations from both countries were introduced to Putin and Khurelsukh.

The International Criminal Court (ICC), located in The Hague, Netherlands, issued an arrest warrant for Putin on March 17, 2023, at the request of ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan.
