President of Northern Cyprus Tatar met with President of Azerbaijan Aliyev

The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, met with President Ilham Aliyev in Azerbaijan, where he arrived to attend the Informal Summit of Turkic States Organization Presidents.
TRNC President Ersin Tatar arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in the Informal Summit of Turkic States Organization (TSO) Presidents in the city of Shusha, where he held talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev within the framework of his contacts.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed cooperation between the two countries, as well as issues such as transportation, communication, climate action, the establishment of a friendship group with TRNC in the Azerbaijani National Assembly, and organizing Azerbaijani Culture Days in TRNC.
Emphasizing the importance of addressing and implementing TSO agenda items at the level of heads of state, Tatar and Aliyev highlighted that the informal summit meeting themed ‘Building a Sustainable Future with Transportation Connectivity and Climate Action’ will serve the development and unity of the Turkic world.
Tatar expressed his gratitude to Aliyev for the invitation and stated his pleasure for TRNC obtaining observer status in the Turkic States Organization. Tatar also highlighted the significance of the Karabakh Declaration and conveyed his thanks to Azerbaijan for its friendship and support towards TRNC.
