The Permanent Observer of Palestine at the UN, Riyad Mansour, stated in a speech at the United Nations (UN) Security Council, “Stop this genocide or remain silent forever.”
Riyad Mansour, the Permanent Observer of Palestine, spoke at an open session of the UN Security Council regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories. Mansour called for the Security Council to take action to protect civilians targeted by Israel’s ongoing attacks for over a year, saying, “Israel has crossed every red line, violated every rule, and defied every prohibition. When will it be enough? When will you take action? You are the Security Council. You must reach every person suffering among the Palestinians. This is your duty.”
Mansour expressed that 43,000 people have died due to Israeli attacks in Gaza, 100,000 have been disabled, and 2 million Palestinians have been displaced. He stated, “By ending impunity and ensuring accountability, finally put an end to this terrible injustice, let your actions be consistent with your words. Stop this genocide or remain silent forever.”
