According to the official North Korean media reports, the tactical ballistic missile with the newly developed autonomous navigation system was tested under the supervision of the country’s leader Kim Jong-un. It was noted that the reliability of the autonomous navigation system was confirmed with the successful completion of the test launch. Technical details such as the missile’s flight distance, altitude reached, and the location of the target hit were not disclosed. It was reported that Kim expressed his satisfaction with the test and congratulated the defense industry officials. North Korea had conducted a missile test. Yesterday, North Korea launched multiple ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan around 15:10 local time, and the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that the missiles were short-range and flew approximately 300 kilometers.
