North Korea has launched at least 10 short-range ballistic missiles towards the direction of the Sea of Japan. Despite all reactions, the North Korean government continues its missile tests. This time, North Korea fired at least 10 short-range ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan from the Sunan region of Pyongyang around 06:14 local time, according to the statement by the South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS). It was emphasized that the South Korean military shared information with the United States and Japan and continues analysis and tracking activities.

Japanese Prime Minister Kishida condemns
The Japanese government also confirmed the missile test. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida stated that it was evaluated that the missiles fell outside the country’s exclusive economic zone. Kishida shared information that, according to initial assessments, the missiles did not cause any damage and condemned the ballistic missile tests that violate United Nations resolutions by North Korea. Kishida mentioned that they will continue analysis and tracking activities and added that they will maintain close cooperation with the United States and South Korea.

First missile test since May 17
By conducting the latest missile test on May 17 to test tactical ballistic missiles equipped with a new autonomous navigation system, North Korea attempted to launch a satellite into orbit on May 27. It was announced that the rocket carrying North Korea’s satellite exploded immediately after launch due to a motor malfunction.
