Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during his visit to Majdal Shams in the northern Golan Heights, where a rocket attack took place on Saturday, stated, “Israel will not simply allow this to pass, it cannot. Our response will come, and it will be harsh.”

Netanyahu visited Majdal Shams in the northern Golan Heights, where 12 people lost their lives due to a rocket attack. He said, “Hezbollah, with the support of Iran, launched a rocket here, and this rocket took the lives of 12 innocent people. Twelve boys and girls who were playing football and, unfortunately, could not reach the shelter. This heavy tragedy has broken our hearts. We embrace the families who are experiencing indescribable pain.”

Netanyahu, who laid a wreath at the site, expressed, “These children are our children, they are the children of all of us. Israel will not simply allow this to pass, and it cannot. Our response will come, and it will be harsh.”

Noting that Jews and Druze are brothers, Netanyahu stated, “We have a covenant of life, but unfortunately, this is also a covenant of mourning and sorrow. We embrace you.”

Calling on the Druze community not to lose hope, Netanyahu said, “Israel will be with you today, tomorrow, and forever.”

A group of protesters gathered at the location visited by Netanyahu, holding banners labeling him as a war criminal and chanting, “Out! Out!” demanding the Israeli Prime Minister leave the region.
