NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his surprise visit to Ukraine. Stoltenberg stated, ‘NATO is the place Ukraine deserves. Ukraine will become a NATO member.’
Message from Stoltenberg to Moscow
During a joint press conference with Zelensky, Stoltenberg praised Zelensky’s leadership and the courage of Ukrainians, stating that ‘leadership and courage alone will not be enough to repel Russian forces, weapons and ammunition are also needed.’ Stoltenberg emphasized the importance of support to Ukraine, saying, ‘Moscow must understand; they cannot win.’
