Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya visited the Galician Turkish Martyrs’ Cemetery in Budapest.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya arrived in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, to attend the 7th Ministerial Conference of the Budapest Process. During his visit to Budapest, Minister Yerlikaya visited the Galician Turkish Martyrs’ Cemetery. He laid a wreath at the memorial in the cemetery and individually placed carnations on the graves of the martyrs while praying. In a social media post, Minister Yerlikaya stated, “We are in Budapest for the ‘7th Ministerial Conference of the Budapest Process’. First, we visited the Galician Turkish Martyrs’ Cemetery. Our 480 heroes who fell as martyrs at the Galician Front during World War I rest here in the Turkish Martyrs’ Cemetery in Budapest. Our prayers are always with our martyrs. May their souls be blessed. As descendants of ancestors who have 78 cemeteries in 34 countries around the world, we commemorate our martyrs with mercy, gratitude, and respect.”
