Kremlin Spokesman Peskov: “Harris is a more predictable opponent”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated in an interview with Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin that they do not have a candidate in the US elections, but that the Democrats’ candidate Kamala Harris is a more predictable opponent compared to Republican candidate Donald Trump.

As the upcoming presidential election in the US is eagerly awaited, a statement about the candidates has come from Russia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in an interview with Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin, noted that they do not have a candidate in the US elections, saying, “But of course, the Democrats are more predictable. What Putin said about Biden’s predictability applies to almost all Democrats, including Ms. Harris.”

Peskov stated that there are no expectations for an improvement in relations with Washington, saying, “The steps taken by the US to trample on our country’s interests have exceeded acceptable limits.”

The Kremlin spokesman emphasized that there is no magic wand that would solve the Ukraine crisis overnight as promised by Trump, stating that imagining the next US president announcing in their inauguration speech that Washington has halted military aid to Ukraine and called for peace talks is a “fantasy.”
