Gantz said, ‘Despite knowing that our party has been a bad government after October 7, we joined the coalition for the good of the country. Since then, strategic evaluations have always been sidelined for political reasons.’

Gantz stated that the Israeli people deserve more than ’empty promises’ and said, ‘Unfortunately, Netanyahu is preventing us from achieving real victory.’

Gantz called for elections from Netanyahu, saying, ‘It would be appropriate to go to elections in the fall to achieve a real victory and gain the trust of the people. I call on Netanyahu: Determine an agreed election date. Do not allow our people to be divided.’

Addressing Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Gantz said, ‘Yoav, we have known each other for many years. Despite tensions between us, I have always respected and appreciated you. I have learned to appreciate you even more in this war. You are a brave and resolute leader, and most importantly, a patriot. Leadership and courage in times like these mean not only saying what is right but also doing what is right.’

‘I stand behind the draft presented by President Biden’
Apologizing to the families of the prisoners, Gantz said, ‘We have done a lot, but when it comes to results, we have failed. We have not been able to bring many of them back home yet. The responsibility for this also belongs to me.’
Gantz also expressed full support for President Joe Biden’s ceasefire plan in the Gaza Strip, stating, ‘I stand behind the principles we adopted in the war cabinet and the draft presented by President Biden. I want the Prime Minister to have the courage to stand behind and advance this. ‘

Gantz also emphasized that despite moving to the opposition, he could support some of the government’s moves, saying, ‘Today, I commit to supporting every responsible plan while in opposition. We will support every correct move of the Israeli society and the government. When we go to demonstrate, we will do it legally, with a desire for solidarity and to embark on a new path, not with hatred.’
