Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian commented on Israel’s attack on Iran’s military bases, stating, “We are not seeking war, but we will defend our country and our people. We will respond appropriately to the Zionist regime’s attack.”
In a Cabinet meeting, Pezeshkian spoke about Israel’s retaliatory attack on Iran’s military bases. He noted that Iran has never left attacks targeting its sovereignty unanswered, stating, “Our people and the Islamic Republic of Iran have shown that they have not taken a step back in the face of occupation and aggression for 45 years. We are not seeking war, but we will defend our country and our people. We will respond appropriately to the Zionist regime’s attack.”
“We know that the U.S. provoked Israel for this great disaster”
Pezeshkian emphasized that Israel is supported by Western countries, especially the U.S., and warned that if Israel continues its attacks in Gaza and Lebanon, tensions could escalate in the region. He said, “We know that the U.S. provoked Israel for this great disaster. They promised that they would end the war in exchange for our calmness, but they did not keep their word.”
Pezeshkian added, “The world sees that the U.S., the biggest supporter of the occupying regime, remains silent while the Zionist regime massacres tens of thousands of women and children, all while talking about human rights and freedoms.”
In an attack carried out by Israel on Iran’s military bases last night, 5 people lost their lives, including 1 civilian and 4 soldiers.
