The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it will provide more than 30 million euros in aid to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) this year.
Following allegations that its staff were involved in the October 7 incidents between Israel and Palestine, France, which had suspended its aid funds to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), has reversed its decision, according to United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it will provide more than 30 million euros in aid to support UNRWA’s activities.

Ministry spokesperson Christophe Lemoine stated, “We will contribute to ensuring that UNRWA fulfills its duties with a spirit that does not promote hatred and violence.” Lemoine also mentioned when the payment to UNRWA will be made.
According to France’s regular quarterly program, the next payment is expected to be made in April.
