Election Results in North Macedonia

The coalition led by the main opposition party VMRO DPMNE won the parliamentary elections held in North Macedonia.

Statement from VMRO-DPMNE Leader Mickoski

VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski stated that there would be changes for the citizens and the economy in Macedonia within the first 100 days after the election results. Mickoski said, ‘It is a great honor, we will not disappoint you. I plan to make the results felt within the first 100 days.’

Coalition Search by VMRO-DPMNE

VMRO-DPMNE, which did not obtain the necessary 61 seats to form a government alone in the parliament where a total of 120 members were elected, is expected to negotiate with the Albanian opposition party VLEN for a coalition.

Voter Turnout and Congratulations

While the voter turnout in the country with 1,815,350 registered voters was 55.30%, with 26,242 invalid votes cast. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic congratulated Gordana Siljanovks-Davkova, who was elected president after the results. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban congratulated VMRO-DPMNE and Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova for their election victory in the parliamentary and presidential elections.
