Czech Republic Recalls Russian Ambassador
Czechia is recalling the ambassador of Russia due to a diplomatic crisis. As tensions rise between the two countries, a new era in international relations may begin.
The Czech government has officially announced the recall of the country’s Ambassador to Russia, Vitezslav Pivonka. This decision was made following the end of Pivonka’s term, who returned to Prague in late 2022.
Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jan Lipavsky, confirmed the official recall of Pivonka, stating that his term as Ambassador will end in late May. After the end of Pivonka’s term, Counselor Jan Ondrejka will assume the responsibilities.
The Czech administration also announced that a new ambassador will be appointed to Moscow following Pivonka’s recall. These developments are seen as a reflection of the tension in diplomatic relations between the two countries.
