The President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Numan Kurtulmuş, visited Cuba as part of an official visit. An agreement of cooperation between the President of the TBMM and the President of the National Assembly of Cuba was signed. According to the agreement, cooperation will be developed in various areas between the two parliaments.
Areas of Cooperation and Activities
- Cooperation will be enhanced in politics, economy, trade, finance, science, education, culture, and other areas through the existing cooperation between the parliaments.
- Regular contacts, mutual visits, and joint meetings will be held between specialized commissions and administrative bodies to strengthen the exchange of experiences and knowledge sharing related to legislative, oversight, and other activities of the parliament.
- Activities within national and international parliamentary organizations and conferences will be coordinated based on a common agenda and mutual interests.
- Technical cooperation projects and training programs facilitating the sharing of experiences and best practices will be organized to strengthen the institutional capacities of administrative bodies.
- Regular consultations will be held on issues of mutual interest to the parliaments, including areas such as energy, health, education, agricultural development, tourism, and reducing the impact of natural disasters.
