Call for investigation into the attack on the UNRWA school by Borrell

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, called for an independent investigation into the attack on the three-story El-Sardi School belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip. The school is located in the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in the Gaza Strip, where thousands of Palestinian civilians take shelter. Borrell expressed his concerns about the attack carried out by Israel on the UNRWA school and emphasized the need for an independent investigation. He stated, “Reports from Gaza indicate that violence and suffering remain the only reality for hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians. These horrifying news must be investigated independently in line with the recent order of the International Court of Justice. A permanent ceasefire is the only way to protect civilians and to immediately release all hostages. Both sides must promptly accept the three-phase plan proposed by the US.”
