In the city of Nashville in the state of Tennessee, a single-engine small plane crashed by the side of the I-40 highway. As the plane turned into a fireball, police, ambulance, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area. In a statement from the Metro Nashville Police Department, it was announced that 5 people onboard the plane lost their lives. Police Department Spokesperson Don Aaron stated that the plane reported engine and electrical failure around 7:40 PM on Monday and obtained emergency landing permission at John C. Tune Airport, but the pilot stated they would not reach the runway to the air traffic controller.
The departure point of the plane is not yet known.
