After the flood disaster that occurred in Valencia on October 29, a red alert was issued in the eastern and southern regions of the country. The heavy rainfall in these areas has once again led to flooding. Education has been suspended in the cities of Malaga and Granada, while 3,000 people living near the Guadalhorce River have been evacuated.
In many cities, streets and avenues have turned into lakes, and numerous locations, including Malaga Airport, have been flooded. Vehicles have been swept away by the floodwaters, yet no fatalities have been reported so far.
Authorities have urged the public to be cautious and not to leave their homes. It was noted that more than 180 liters of rain could fall per square meter in less than 12 hours in Malaga.
