Support for Gaza in the First Semi-Final of the Competition
The first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest held in Malmö, Sweden, was realized with a magnificent ceremony yesterday. As artists took the stage on behalf of their countries, messages of support for Gaza marked the night. Eric Saade of Palestinian descent stood out by using a keffiyeh in his performance.
Among the other artists who performed in the competition was Sertab Erener, who brought the Eurovision victory to Turkey in 2003. Erener will perform in the second semi-final tomorrow.
