In the quarter-final rematch of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup between FK Sarajevo and Borac Banja Luka, FK Sarajevo withdrew from the field in the final minutes in reaction to the referee’s decisions.

Similar to what happened during the 73rd minute of the Trabzonspor match at Istanbulspor’s stadium in the 17th week of the Trendyol Super League when Istanbulspor President Ecmel Faik Sarıalioğlu withdrew the team from the field due to referee decisions, a similar incident occurred in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Last night, in the quarter-final rematch of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup, FK Sarajevo hosted Borac Banja Luka. The Sarajevo team went to the locker room in protest against the referee’s decisions in the final minutes of the match. Following this decision, the referee blew the final whistle. Borac Banja Luka won the match 2-1, advancing to the semifinals.

Kenan Magoda, the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Sarajevo Canton, commented on the issue to the local media, saying, “As of today, as the Minister of Culture and Sports, I will focus on protecting all sports clubs in Sarajevo in every aspect. We will no longer watch how Sarajevo clubs lose, not due to their poor performance, but for various reasons. I expect the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation to put an end to this disrespect that we have been witnessing for the past few years and which has lost the true spirit of sports.”
