In Iran, the voting process for the second round of the 12th term Islamic Consultative Assembly elections has begun. Today, the people went to the ballot boxes for the second round of the 12th term Islamic Consultative Assembly elections.
Voting Process Details
In the ballot boxes set up at the Huseyniyeyi Irshad Mosque in Tehran, the people started voting from 08:00 local time. While voting took place in a total of 11,500 centers in 22 regions for the voters, in 8 regions including Tehran, electronic voting machines are used for the first time for the elections. The voting process for the second round elections, where 90 candidates are competing for 45 seats in the assembly, will end at 18:00 local time.

In Iran, Iranians went to the polls on March 1 for the 12th term Islamic Consultative Assembly elections. In the 290-seat Iran Islamic Consultative Assembly elections, 245 candidates won the right to go to the parliament, while 45 candidate MPs who received less than 20% of the votes entered the second round.
