Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan attended the condolence ceremony held for the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who passed away in a helicopter crash.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and Raisi’s guard Seyyed Mehdi Musavi are being commemorated in a condolence ceremony in the capital Tehran. Representing Turkey at the ceremony, attended by state leaders, government officials, and ministers, are Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

Yılmaz and Fidan arrived at Mehrabad Airport at 14:20 local time and proceeded to Tehran International Conference Center where the ceremony took place. Vice President Yılmaz and Minister Fidan prayed in front of the coffins of Raisi, Abdullahiyan, and Musavi, and conveyed their condolences to Acting President Mohammad Mokhber and Iranian officials.

In a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan province on May 19 in Iran, 8 people, including President Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, lost their lives.
